Professional Experience:

I have 6 years of experience in oncology.  I currently serve as a senior lecturer at Aga Khan University, School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kenya. Through partnerships with the National Cancer Institute of Kenya (NCI-K), I have inspected oncology facilities across the country and provided technical support to newly established cancer centers. I have also worked with NCK, NCI-K, and the National Cancer Control Program (NCCP) on developing and reviewing key policies. I am also a member of the ISNCC communication committee. I am also actively engaged in abstract writing, research dissemination, and grant writing within the oncology field, and I am a recipient of the 2025 ISNCC travel grant for abstract presentation in the ISNCC & CNSA congress.

I have over ten (10) years of professional experience in oncology care, education, and research. I currently serve as an Assistant Professor at the St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College School of Nursing, Ethiopia. In this role, I am actively engaged in leadership and quality improvement initiatives in oncology care services, including the development of training modules, curricula, and clinical standards.

I have been extensively involved in the training and professional development of oncology nurses. My work also includes active engagement in research activities, from abstract development and conference presentations to research dissemination.
