Professional Experience:

Andries Olorato Gontshwanetse serves as Nurse Manager and Head of Paediatric Hematology and Oncology Nursing at the Botswana-Baylor Children’s Clinical Centre of Excellence, Princess Marina Hospital, Gaborone, Botswana.  He brings over twenty (20) years of nursing experience, including a decade of specialized practice in paediatric oncology and hematology. 

Research and Leadership Interests:

Research interests centre on patient-centred care, with particular emphasis on evaluating caregivers’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices in the management of chemotherapy-related side effects. He is deeply committed to strengthening paediatric oncology services through education, leadership, research, community engagement, and advocacy initiatives.
